1,500 Daffodil Bulbs Planted
Today was a wonderful day for our village, as members of the Caldy Community Gardening Group gathered to plant over 1,500 daffodil bulbs around the Caldy roundabout and surrounding verges. A huge thank you to Cadent Gas for their generous donation, which made today’s planting possible. Their support means a lot to our community, and we can’t wait to see the results of everyone’s hard work.
You can expect to see these bulbs burst into colour around late February to early March, brightening up Caldy just in time for spring. 🌼 We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Elwyn, Fiona, Marq, Jean, Jan, Jane, and Matt for volunteering their time and energy to help plant them.
Finding volunteers is never easy and we really can’t stress enough how much your help matters. The council does not provide this service in Caldy, so everything you see in bloom here happens because of local people giving up their time.
If keeping Caldy looking beautiful is important to you, please consider getting involved. Even an hour here or there makes a real difference. 🌱
Finally, a massive thank you to Donald from the Caldy Community Group for encouraging Cadent to support us with such a generous donation, your efforts have truly paid off!
Here’s to a brighter, more colourful Caldy this spring! 💛
